Natasha – Manager and Founder 

I am so incredibly proud of the team we have here at The Lodge.  I know it may sound like a cliché, but they really are like family. Everyone works so hard to make the children’s time here enjoyable.

The staff are The Lodge – they make it what it is and I’m so grateful to them for making it such a special place. We ensure that our staff feel just as connected to The Lodge as the children do. I truly believe that the job they do is one of the most important roles.  They inspire our Little Lodgers and play to their strengths, taking the time to get to know them, as well as their families.

The team have a great bond. They support each other and back each other up whenever required. I love the fact they socialise together too –  they are friends as well as colleagues.

Leiha – Deputy Manager 

I joined in 2021 and I can honestly say it was one of my best ever career decisions. Being a part of The Lodge family is such a beautiful thing, as staff are appreciated, respected and supportive of one another.

Here at The Lodge, we take pride in how we can best support our team, whether that’s via wellbeing incentives, open door communication, continuous professional progression, or words of affirmation.

Our team show so much passion in their work and in building an effective relationship with our Little Lodgers and their families. They go above and beyond and always give their all.

Our children are getting the best start in life here, as they are nurtured, respected and supported with foundation life skills to help them blossom and flourish in life.

 Brooke – Third in Charge

I began working at The Lodge back in 2018 when it was a childminder setting. I was welcomed with open arms by the amazing Natasha who took me under her wing and allowed me to join her dream of opening The Lodge as a Preschool & Nursery.

The minute The Lodge opened its doors to welcome more families, it instantly felt like home. As the nursery has grown, so has our amazing team.  Natasha has always supported us and our professional development. There is so much room for personal growth here at The Lodge and Natasha is so good at boosting our confidence.

I worked for a Nursery chain previously and I can honestly say I will never go back to that. The Lodge is unique, nurturing, and by far the most thoughtful Nursery around.

Kelly – Curriculum Coordinator

I joined The Lodge in 2017. I love working here – it’s such a happy, friendly environment to work in. We are always made to feel appreciated and supported, and the team are such a wonderful bunch to work with.  I love how the setting is a home-from-home environment for the children, making sure every child gets all the love and care they need and deserve to develop. All the staff go above and beyond, and have a great relationship with our Little Lodgers. We follow the children’s individual interests and development needs so that our Little Lodgers can explore and learn at their own pace.

Georgetta – Acting Baby Room Leader (Mat Cover)

Joining The Lodge last year is the best thing thing that has happened in my childcare career.  Here, I feel supported, heard, understood, encouraged, appreciated and loved.  Natasha is always checking in  staff members and ensures that our days run as smoothly as possible.  I have been offered career development opportunities, which I absolutely love, and my skills have been promoted and highlighted.  As a mother, at times I need flexibility and the management team has been amazing, supporting me and my family thoroughly.  I love that the team is being looked after and that staff wellbeing is taken seriously.  I can carry on for hours! Everyone here is just amazing, our Little Lodgers, parents, colleagues and the leadership team!

Irena

I’ve been at The Lodge since 2022 and it’s a happy place. Everyone is welcomed, valued and supported professionally. This support love and care is also shared with all the Little Lodgers who attend The Lodge.  I love the fact that it’s a home-from-home environment, where children can be who they want to be. They are supported by staff so that they are able to blossom and take things at their own pace.

Lola – Educator

I have to say nice things because I’m the boss’s daughter, bit I’d say the same even if she wasn’t my mum! I love being here; it feels very comfortable. I often think about how it used to feel when this was our family home, and the vision mum had when setting The Lodge up.

It is a truly amazing place and I’m very proud of all of us. We are great friends and support each other as a team.  It really is a great place to work with so many opportunities. Having recently completed my apprenticeship, I’m now working on the Over Twos floor and I love it. We can’t wait to recruit more apprentices to grow with the team, and I look forward to supporting them on their journey as my colleagues did for me.

Evie – Apprentice

The Lodge is my first childcare role. Before I started, I was nervous, as I’d heard from others how stressful and unpleasant other nursery environments could be. Within an hour of my trial shift, I knew The Lodge was the place I wanted to start my childcare career.

Within four months of working here, I have started my level three apprenticeship. Natasha the Manager is one of the loveliest people I have ever met. She makes sure ever single staff member is happy and feels included –  she’s a great role model and I aspire to be like her in the future. I would recommend The Lodge to anyone looking for a job in childcare and any families looking for care for their children.
